Live2D Model Video

Here is the presentation video of the Live2D model I make. Because of the absence of body painting, the overall expression of the model is a little bit weak. This model is accompanied by six expressions: standby, snooze, wake up, wink, laugh and sob. I imported it into a scene similar to a text adventure game for presentation. This is also the genre in which most Live2D models are applied. Brief introduction To start the 4 week project, I was wondering to make something like Room Escape games(such as the Cube Escape ), and the memory of my childhood that I used to seek things and hide them during my summer holiday when I stayed at home alone and my parents all went to work comes with me. Thus I make it to seek things and hide them in former state in the house. It has 30 levels corresponded to a 30-day summer holiday, players can do homework, read comic books, play video games, watch TV, have some snacks while parents are out at work. But they will check your homework and the stock of snacks, so players have to make balance between entertainment and study, otherwise it will comes with bad end. - Theme: simulate a home-stay summer holiday  - Concept: seek and hide objects, select event trigger - System: click and drag objects, variable counting Flowchart   Flowchart 1 Flowchart2 The former one is what I prepare before creating the game, and the latest one is the f...

Last 2 weeks I read the book Game Planner Intensive Course: Game Creation is 90% about Tempo by Hideo Yoshizawa in Chinese translated version. Tempo of games means interval, including combination of switching times, animation performance, speed of movement, button pressing, visual and auditory times etc. Game Planner Intensive Course: Game Creation is 90% about Tempo  by Hideo Yoshizawa The first chapter is about core creativity. Creativity of games shows in rules, methods, operation, design, plot and so on which break down to core idea, auxiliary core and expanding core. The most important of these is core idea about comforts in games. There are three points of it: - get a comfortable experience - make it approach to the final goal - accomplish the goal and gain a higher level of comforts The core idea can be analyzed in three ways: theme(backdrop), concept(what to play) and system(mechanisms, methods of operation, methods of presentation etc.) The second chapter is about how to c...

Hello! I’m Xiaoqi Yang from China, a MA Games Design student of UCLan after my BA Digital Media Technology course. In my undergraduate course I learned to use Unity3d and Cocos2d to create a game, and use Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects for processing. My undergraduate graduation project is a text adventure game mixed elimination game - Bakumatsu Tenryo, which adapt from the game Touken Ranbu . ‘Bakumatsu Tenryo’ screen shot I like reading fancy novels, comics and watching movies, I’m so in love with the story and the virtual world in these works. Games are much better than these as player can make more interaction through games. Numerous great games have shown us grand worlds and magnificent stories, becoming the memory of a generation. The first digital game I met is JX3, a Chinese 3D marital art MMORPG online game, It is a story full of history against the backdrop of the Tang Dynasty, in which players join different factions to grow into a great warrior, join different camps an...
